OK, so yesterday I decided to shoot the sunrise on the lake and it was as foggy as ever, beautiful but foggy. The sun did not appear until much later and by that time I was sipping coffee at the Jones. This morning we were up early (before daybreak) even though Deb was going in late. We had a wonderful relaxing breakfast in bed (as I make for my sweetheart on most every day) and I had made no plans to rush off to the lake. All of sudden there was a strange orange glow seeping in through the windows and screen doors. I ran out onto the deck to find everything draped in a think orange layer of beautiful light. I ran in the house and grabbed my camera, running back out to capture the event. As I shot straight up and all around, I kept saying this is impossible to capture, all of this drippy orange light. Our white doves were wondering what I was all excited about as I peered at the dripping orange cage. If you missed it I certainly hope you enjoy the few moments I captured. I can only imagine what it was like out on the lake
Well, this week I have a short break before classes start again Monday. The past couple of months have really been busy and I’m not so sure the next couple will be any different. You would think I’d get used to it, oh well. Today I did get out to shoot off a few frames, it was foggy on the lake but I did get a couple of interesting shots. For the past year I’ve been using Adobe Lightroom and for the most part I like it. Post production is very quick and most often I don’t even use Photoshop, well at least for editing. I’m still using Photoshop for resizing and printing. I know Lightroom can do that but I’m not quite ready to try it. I have a surprise photo from my childhood coming soon, stay tuned.
