Wes Lindberg ~ Infrared Art Photography

After 22 years traveling the country selling my artwork, I went back to school, earned a degree, was hired full time as a professor at our local community college and continued to learn more and more about video production, editing, web design, graphic design, and the list goes on and on. The important part is that I’m having great fun. This year after 8 years away from my art as a main focus, I am now back at it again with my Infrared Black and Light series. These images are created with my converted Canon 10D which only captures infrared images. In the years past I shot many rolls of infrared film, developing and printing the images on my own hand made paper using emulsions made from watercolor pigments, gum arabic and ammonium dichromate.

My boss, Jorge Ibanez, set up a one man show for me here in Gainesville at the Hippodrome Gallery for the month of August, the party will be during Artwalk Friday August 29, 2008. I hope to see you there. You can preview some of my images here on my website. Enjoy!
